Being in love feels like you’re… running a marathon. You’re chest is pounding with adrenaline and excitement and you can’t stop it. There’s no finish line in sight but it doesn’t matter because you’re energy is never ending. There’s no crowd to cheer you on or no prize at the end. That pounding in your chest is the prize and the reason you’re running. It’s running to someone and never stopping.

Being in love feels like you’re at the top of a mountain surrounded only by the clouds above and forests below. And you’re shouting, god you’re shouting and screaming but they are still listening.

Goodness, being in love feels like when you are awoken by bird songs in nearby trees under the cool morning sun.

It’s knowing someone is there for you. Knowing that you have each other. That they will understand you. It’s seeing them at their worst and still feeling so much love. It’s zoned out moments where you take in their beautiful eyes and their laughter.
